Creating Innovation

"We will be united, guided, and blessed. As not only will my Key's improve what we are, but it will improve what we can become!"

- Edward Kells, Integration Key's Announcement, 2 U

Early Life

Edward James Kells, born in 54 BU, became the inventor of the Integration Key's, and helped further grow System-One into a global utopia.

From a young age, Kells had a strong love for creative invention, and followed a path of strong determination to enhance the quality of life around him. From as simple as six years old, he tried to create new ways of solving mundane tasks, and aiding his single mother. At twelve years, he managed to invent a device that allowed his mother to do the washing twice as fast. At sixteen, he invented a device that aided the local police force in tracking criminals.

It was clear that he had a mind for invention, and prosperity, thus, whilst growing up in the outskirts of Silverfalls City, he did all that he could to help aid his poor mother. This limitation on resources pushed Kells creativity and dedication to overcome great adversaries and achieve masterworks in mechanical, and electronical engineering. But, upon a twist of fate, he and his mother moved west to Los Acha, but he still struggled with finances, and obtaining resources for his inventions.

After school, he graduated with flying colours, and pursued engineering to further pursue a career in inventing. He excelled in all his university classes, even inventing a few devices that became viral within his local college.

Freelancer

After graduating from university, Kells met a woman named Harriet Sparks, whom he later married and had a daughter, named Laura-Jane Kells. Edward, in hopes of providing for his wife and daughter, became a freelance inventor, refusing to take a job, and believing that his inventions would go on to change the world. Thus, in his pursuit of becoming a global known inventor, he spent all his time inventing, and building contraptions.

Whilst his wife went to work, he would be the stay-at-home dad for his daughter, bonding greatly over his machines with her. However, nothing he created sold exponentially, despite his works contributing to many quality-of-life improvements within his home.

Marson Corporation

Upon a fateful night, Kells' inventions were picked up by the Marson Corporation, and were favourite of CEO Henry Wayne Marson. Kells got to know Henry personally, and was even invited to many events, where Kells' inventions were put on display and showcased to the world.

Now, under the banner of the Marson Corporation, Kells became an excelled genius within the political, and scientific communities.

He got to know Hayden Cain Marson, even becoming a mentor to him during his teenage years, explaining the innovations and scientific breakthroughs that he helped innovate. For a long time, Edward and Henry believed that Laura-Jane and Henry Cain would marry, for they were engaged for some time, but for reason Kells himself would not specify, Henry called off the wedding, and later married Lady Rebecca Ofsted.

Now, during these years Hayden was ascending up the social ladder, slowly becoming president of the United States of Ardermia. After Henry's passing, Edward became like an uncle to Hayden, and aided him in his pursuit of Global-Presidency.

After Hayden was inaugurated as Global-President, Edward and Hayden spent countless hours into the night, to help solve the violence that was spreading across the world.

Kells recalls that during a terrible storm, he awoke during in the night. He heard thunder during a terrible downpour of rain, and within the flash of lighting, he met [REDACTED], and given a letter from Hayden, detailing the program he wished to establish, called System-One. Edward recalls that in that very moment he had a "download" of information. The "package" he said he obtained was the idea for the Integration Key's. He spent countless nights, day and out, attempting to create what he saw as the "revolutionary change" that was needed to ensure System-One brought about a single, unified world.

System One

A month later, Edward Kells took himself, and his family, across the country back to his home city of Silverfalls in hopes of achieving his goal.

Kells pitched his idea of what he called "Bands", to System-One, and was met with great applause and open arms. Hayden was thrilled with the idea, declaring it a "revolutionary solution" to solve the world's violence. Thus, several months were spent in creating the first of the Integration Key's, and when Hayden and Kells both believed the Key's to be ready, they announced them to the world stage in 2U.

It was an instant success. Through Kells' work, and the innovative, powerful, and resource heavy environment of System-One, Kells' invention of Integration Key's, were created.

He and his family gained further great wealth, power, and reputation, for Kells' invention. For he started at a humble beginning, but came out on top, now serving Hayden Marson and System-One. For as the years progressed, he continued to perfect the Integration Keys with various models, upgrades, and tweaks. Thus, he was venerated as one of the founders of System-One.

Later Years and Death

Many years after Hayden Marson's death, Kells would continue to experiment, and work within System-One, in hopes of acheiving what he saw as the "ultimate" Integration Key, one that could not be bypassed by terrorist organisations. He worked closely with Hayden's daughter, April Marson, and his own daughter, Laura-Jane Kells. With various other members of System-One's higher positions, he and his new band of inventors helped the Integration Key's became stronger, smarter, and purer.

However, in his later years he was diagnosed with severe brain cancer, and he fell from public viewing for many years. He died three year after his diagnosis. However, his daughter and her husband, Harold Danielsson, continued her father's legacy, and to this day, are pushing for the Integration Key's to be further improved and modified.
